At the recent DIY Awards Gordale was awarded UK Garden Retailer of the Year beating off strong competition from other top garden centres. This award was the icing on the cake for staff who had worked hard to up the game following their success in 2012 in the Garden Centre Association Awards. Gordale Garden Centre in Wirral had been recognised as one of the top garden centres in the country.

This is a wonderful accolade for the family run garden centre which was established 64 years ago by the Nicholson family and confirms what the Wirral gardeners have known for years.

With car parking for over 500 cars, 180 seat coffee shop, 4 acre plant area and children's play area it's an ideal location for all ages to enjoy.

Employing over 85 local people, the team offer a wealth of knowledge and experience not found at many other retail outlets. Managing Director, Peter Nicholson, explained that 'he was proud that Gordale was officially recognised as the best in the UK and that it was a fitting reward for the hard work of the entire team'.

Gordale Garden Centres is also proud to work with the local community. Local schools visit for walks, talks and demonstrations to meet educational goals and assisted by local charities in 2012 they have once again raised over £20,000 for good causes.
